Fernando Alonso shared his thoughts after Aston Martin’s first proper running of their new 2026 Formula 1 car at the Barcelona shakedown. The team arrived late and had limited track time at first, but Alonso still completed about 61 laps on the final day.
Alonso said it felt good to be back in the car after winter and that the day was positive for Aston Martin, especially since it was really their first day of running compared with other teams that did earlier filming or private tests.
He also noted that the car is responding well, and there’s more work to come as the team continues its development.
