Defending champions shone at Round 2 of the 2025 FIM Sand Races World Championship in Argentina, with Todd Kellett (Yamaha) winning both Moto races to stay unbeaten, Amandine Verstappen (Yamaha) dominating the Moto Women’s class, and Pablo Violet (Yamaha) taking the lead in Quads.
Racing was moved to a single day due to storms, but the action remained intense. Kellett, the British two-time champion, beat Belgium’s Cyril Genot and France’s Milko Potisek across both races, extending his series lead.
In Moto Women, Verstappen impressed on a 450cc bike, winning both races despite a crash in the second. Former champion Mathilde Denis and other French riders followed her home.
The Veterans class was led by Uruguay’s Fernando Rubio, while local rider Danilo Goes was the only finisher in the Vintage category. In Quads, France’s Pablo Violet came out on top, moving into the championship lead.
Next up, the championship heads to Italy for the Bibione Sand Storm on October 24–26.
