Marquez Targets Home Glory Barcelona

Round 15 of MotoGP heads to Barcelona, where Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) aims for his eighth straight win and a chance to set up an early shot at the championship in Misano. He leads brother Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing) by 175 points, and another strong result could push him closer to the crown.

Francesco Bagnaia, last year’s double winner in Barcelona, hopes to bounce back after recent struggles, while Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi has been closing in on third place overall with consistent podiums. Jorge Martin also looks strong after a big comeback ride in Hungary.

KTM’s Pedro Acosta is on a hot streak, rising to fifth in the standings with multiple podiums, while Brad Binder and Enea Bastianini are also finding form. The battle for sixth is heating up, with Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio fighting hard.

Other riders with past Barcelona success, like Fabio Quartararo, Johann Zarco, and Raul Fernandez, aim to return to form this weekend. Honda and Yamaha riders, including Joan Mir, Luca Marini, Jack Miller, and Miguel Oliveira, also have points to prove.

In Moto2, Manuel Gonzalez leads the title chase, but Diogo Moreira is closing in quickly, with just 31 points separating the top three. David Alonso, fresh from his first win, could shake things up again.

In Moto3, Jose Antonio Rueda still holds a strong lead, but challengers like Angel Piqueras, Maximo Quiles, and David Muñoz are pushing hard on home turf, hoping to cut the gap.

Barcelona promises another thrilling weekend of racing across all three classes.
