Moto2 Thailand results revised

The FIM announced that the Moto2 race results from the Thailand Grand Prix were reviewed after officials found an error in calculating the total race distance.

Because of multiple race starts and red-flag interruptions, one lap from a restart was mistakenly counted in the final race distance by the software.

Due to this mistake, riders were originally given full championship points even though less than half of the planned race distance had actually been completed.

After reviewing the situation, officials corrected the results and decided that only half points should be awarded for the race according to the championship rules.

The updated standings still confirm Manuel Gonzalez as the race winner, with Izan Guevara finishing second and Daniel Holgado taking third place.

The FIM also said it will take steps to prevent similar calculation errors in future races.
