Alonso Defends Aston Martin Limits

After talk that Aston Martin drivers might be limited to around 25 laps in the Australian Grand Prix because of severe vibration issues, Fernando Alonso pushed back on that idea.

Alonso said the car isn’t painful to drive or hard to control, and that if they were fighting for victory, drivers could stay in the cockpit for a full race duration despite unusual vibrations.

He acknowledged the vibration issue is “unusual” and shouldn’t be there, and that it’s unclear what long-term effects might occur without a solution.

Alonso also expressed confidence that Honda and the team are working on fixes, highlighting his belief in their ability to solve the problem over time.
