Jenson Button, the 2009 Formula 1 World Champion, has moved from Williams to join Aston Martin as a team ambassador ahead of the 2026 season.
He had previously served as an ambassador and advisor for Williams from 2021 to 2025, but now signs a multi‑year deal with Aston Martin to support the team’s media, partner and commercial work.
Button’s racing career included many years with Honda‑powered cars, and Aston Martin’s new partnership with Honda played a big part in the move. In his new role, Button will use his experience and global reputation to help promote the team as it enters a new era in F1.
He retired from professional racing after competing in the 2025 World Endurance Championship, but now returns to the sport in this ambassador role with high expectations for the 2026 season.
