Bibione Hosts FIM Sand Races

The 2025 FIM Sand Races World Championship reaches its halfway point this weekend (24-26 October) with round three, the Bibione Sand Storm, on Italy’s Adriatic coast near Venice. Defending champions Todd Kellett and Amandine Verstappen lead the Moto and Moto Women categories, while Pablo Violet aims to extend his Quad class lead.

The six-kilometre course features technical racing, Freestyle Motocross displays, and fan activities, including an autograph session with nine-time FIM Motocross World Champion Antonio Cairoli. Kellett starts with a ten-point advantage over teammate Milko Potisek, who is returning from injury. Both have distanced themselves from other contenders, but sand racing’s unpredictability could shake up standings.

In Moto Women, Verstappen is favorite, facing competition from Belgian Kiara Fontanesi and France’s Mathilde Denis. Moto Junior, Moto Vintage, and Moto Veterans categories also promise tight competition, with rising talents and experienced riders battling for points.

The Quad class sees defending champion Pablo Violet trying to extend his 19-point lead against competitors like Benoit Sebert and Axel Dutrie.

The weekend schedule includes Saturday’s Moto race at 10:30 and Quad race at 14:30, followed by Sunday’s Quad race at 10:00 and Moto race at 13:30. Fans can follow updates via FIM social media and the Sportity app, interacting with riders using the #FIMSandRaces tag.
