#TheRematch: Bagnaia steps up the challenge as Bastianini faces off with Martin: It was a crucial race for Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) in the Tissot Sprint at the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona, and he won it.

For Championship leader Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing), it was more about not making mistakes, and he did that too. Bagnaia led from the front after a tough battle at the start, while Martin fought hard with Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) behind him. Bastianini made a last-lap move to pass Martin and take second place. The points gap between Martin and Bagnaia is now 19 points as the season nears its end.

The race started with a tight battle into the first corner. Bagnaia looked like he would get the lead, but Martin caught up and moved alongside. Bastianini then passed both of them, but Bagnaia quickly fought back and took the lead again at Turn 3.

There was some drama on the first lap when Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) and Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) collided. Both stayed upright, but Acosta’s bike was damaged and he had to retire from the race.

By Lap 2, Bagnaia had pulled ahead slightly. Bastianini and Martin were close behind, with Bastianini managing to take second place for a short while. Martin then fought back, pushing both riders hard. Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing) and Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP) joined the battle, but Martin stayed ahead of them.

At the front, Bagnaia continued to extend his lead. Martin was just over a second behind, with Bastianini close to him. Alex Marquez and Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) also joined the pack as Morbidelli started to lose ground.

With just one lap to go, Bagnaia had a small lead. Alex Marquez went wide, and Espargaro passed him for fourth place. Bastianini, now close to Martin, made a bold move on the final lap and passed Martin for second. Martin tried to fight back, but Bastianini held his ground.

Bagnaia crossed the line almost a second ahead to win the race, keeping his title hopes alive. Bastianini secured second place, while Martin stayed in third, still leading the Championship by 19 points.

Espargaro finished in fourth, with Alex Marquez in fifth. Morbidelli fought off Marc Marquez, and Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) were also close behind. Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) finished tenth, just missing out on points.

The Championship battle continues, with the gap now down to 19 points. The final race of the season will decide everything. Are you ready for the last showdown? The race starts at 14:00 CET tomorrow.
