Portimao replaces Zandvoort on F1 calendar

Formula 1 has announced that the Algarve International Circuit in Portimao, Portugal, will return to the F1 calendar for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, taking the place of the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, which will leave the schedule after 2026.

Portimao previously hosted F1 races in 2020 and 2021 and will now return under a new two‑year deal, bringing the Portuguese Grand Prix back to the championship after a six‑year absence. The change helps maintain the planned number of races while offering fans exciting racing at a well‑liked track.
