Young Riders Chase SGP4 Glory

The line-up for the FIM SGP4 World Championship in Denmark’s Vojens Speedway Center this Saturday has been confirmed.

Riders aged 11–13 from 11 countries and 4 continents will race on 190cc bikes designed by six-time world champion Tony Rickardsson. For the first time, the SGP4 event has been granted official world-championship status, meaning its winner will be recognized as a true FIM world champion.

Australia’s Cooper Antone, who won silver in 2023 and 2024, is aiming for gold this year. He will face strong competition from riders representing Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Great Britain, the USA, Argentina, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Norway, and Latvia.

The weekend in Vojens is packed with action:

  • Friday: The Under-21 World Championship (SGP2) final.

  • Saturday morning: SGP4 World Championship for young riders.

  • Saturday evening: The Speedway GP World Championship decider, with Poland’s Bartosz Zmarzlik chasing a record-equalling sixth career title against Australia’s Brady Kurtz.

Rickardsson, who launched SGP4 in 2023, said the event is not only about winning but also about learning, having fun, and sharing experiences with riders and families worldwide.
