IFM Announces Exciting Plans for 2025, Including New Racing Motorcycle Museum and Support for Women Riders: The International Foundation for Motorcycling (IFM) Board held a meeting on December 7, 2024, in Palma, Mallorca, during the FIM General Assembly and FIM Awards. Here are the main highlights:
Finances:
The Board confirmed that the 2023 financial report was approved with no issues by both the Board and the Swiss Supervisory Authority. Updates on 2024 activities, donations, and year-end financial forecasts were presented. The 2025 budget was also approved.
Plans for 2025:
The IFM will focus on preserving motorcycling history by building the Racing Motorcycle Museum, which will be managed by the Foundation. The museum, located at the old FIM Headquarters, will open on December 6, 2025, in Lausanne, Switzerland, during the 2025 FIM Awards. It will celebrate the 2025 FIM World Champions.
To support women in motorcycling, the IFM will provide financial help for women riders participating in the FIM International Six Days’ Enduro (ISDE) in Bergamo, Italy, from August 24-29, 2025. FIM-affiliated National Federations (FMNs) will receive €250 per female rider registered. Ms. Nita Korhonen will assist with fundraising for this initiative.
The IFM will also continue its work on road safety, education, environmental protection, and promoting women in motorcycling, staying true to its mission.
Advisory Council:
Dorna Sports CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta was reappointed as President of the Contributors’ Advisory Council, with Infront Moto Racing CEO David Luongo and WBD Sports reappointed as members. These positions will last for one year.
