Toyota has explained why Kalle Rovanpera withdrew from the 2026 Super Formula season.
The decision was mainly due to ongoing medical issues, including an inner ear condition that affected his preparation and forced him to miss important pre-season testing sessions.
Although he returned to testing later, Toyota believed he was not fully prepared to compete at a high level, so the withdrawal was made based on medical advice and performance readiness.
The team stated that once Rovanpera is physically and mentally ready, they will support him in taking on future racing challenges.
