The new Racing Motorcycle Museum (RMM) was officially inaugurated in Mies, Switzerland, in the presence of the President of the Council of State of Vaud, Christelle Luisier Brodard, the FIM Board, invited dignitaries, 2025 FIM World Champions, and FIM Family members. The museum, housed in FIM’s former headquarters, will celebrate the history of motorcycle racing from its origins to the present.
The ceremony featured speeches by Christelle Luisier Brodard, the Mayor of Mies Pierre-Alain Schmidt, FIM Marketing Director Fabio Muner, architect Silvia Dainese, and FIM President Jorge Viegas, followed by the ribbon-cutting. Legendary riders Giacomo Agostini, Harry Everts, Sammy Miller, and MotoGP promoter Carmelo Ezpeleta were inducted as the first FIM Hall of Fame members.
Exhibits include machines of 2025 world champions such as Marc Marquez, Toprak Razgatlioglu, Toni Bou, Daniel Sanders, Josep Garcia, Bartosz Zmarzlik, and Romain Febvre, along with historic motorcycles like Leslie Graham’s 1949 AJS Porcupine, Mike Hailwood’s 1967 Honda RC166, and Valentino Rossi’s 2004 Yamaha YZR-M1.
Officials highlighted the museum as a global hub for motorcycling heritage, education, and innovation, celebrating the sport’s legacy while inspiring future generations. The inauguration concluded with a photo session of the 2025 FIM World Champions, ahead of the FIM Awards Ceremony in Lausanne.
