2025 FIM General Assembly Highlights

The 2025 FIM General Assembly took place on 5 December 2025 in Lausanne, Switzerland, with 85 National Federations attending. The event included the FIM Board, IFM Board meetings, the inauguration of the Racing Motorcycle Museum (RMM), and the 2025 FIM Awards celebrating World Champions and Trophy winners.

Key topics covered included:

  • President’s Report: Strong FIM finances, support for FMNs and CONUs, strategic plan updates, and governance reinforcement. The former FIM HQ was transformed into the Racing Motorcycle Museum.

  • Membership: Expulsions of FEPAM and KMF; new affiliations of FEMOP, FOMS, FASM, and RAC, bringing total members to 125.

  • Finance: Approval of 2024 financial statements and 2026 budget.

  • Sports: Updates on championships, new categories, safety initiatives, EoT/BoP work, and first-ever FIM Concussion Guidelines.

  • Beyond Sport: Initiatives on women, sustainability, touring, mobility, and rider training programs.

  • Judges & Regulations: Appointment of new international judges; amendments to statutes, sporting codes, calendar, and license fees.

  • RMM: Museum inaugurated with FIM Hall of Fame induction, attended by 2025 World Champions and stakeholders.

  • Upcoming Events: 2026 General Assembly in Monaco (Nov 27–28) and Commissions Conference in Lyon (Feb 6–8).

  • Distinctions: Honorary titles and awards presented to key contributors and riders; FMNs and CONU anniversaries celebrated.

FIM President Jorge Viegas emphasized the privilege of hosting the assembly in Lausanne, highlighting collaboration, achievements, and the foundation for continued success in 2026.
