In round five of the 2025 FIM Sand Races World Championship at Monte Gordo, Portugal, Todd Kellett – Drag’on Yamaha faced a technical issue in Sunday’s Moto race, ending his bid to secure the Moto class crown with one round remaining. Despite dominating Saturday, Kellett was forced out after nine laps on Sunday, leaving the title chase open for Milko Potisek. Belgium’s Cyril Genot – Honda won Sunday’s Moto race by just under two-and-a-half seconds.
In Moto Women, defending champion Amandine Verstappen – Yamaha returned to the top with her second win of the weekend after overcoming a technical setback. France’s Camille Viaud finished second, with 2023 champion Mathilde Denis third.
In the Veteran class, Damien Prevot – Yamaha repeated his Saturday victory, while Fernando Rubio – Honda secured the title despite finishing fourth on Sunday. Moto Junior and Moto Vintage classes were dominated by France’s Evan Demeester – Honda and Freddy Seguin – Honda, respectively.
In the Quad class, Pablo Violet – Drag’on Yamaha defended his title successfully, finishing just over a minute behind back-to-back winner Harry Walker – Laeger, while Belgian Oliver Vandendijck was third. The championship now enters a winter break, with the final round scheduled for 13–15 February 2026 at Enduropale du Touquet Pas-de-Calais.
