Raul Fernandez took his first-ever MotoGP win at Phillip Island with an amazing performance, also giving the Trackhouse MotoGP Team their first victory. This means every team on the MotoGP grid has now won at least one race.
Fabio Di Giannantonio finished second after starting 10th, just 1.4 seconds behind Fernandez. Marco Bezzecchi came third, an impressive result considering he had to serve two Long Lap penalties during the race.
Bezzecchi started strong and led early, but after taking his penalties, Fernandez moved to the front and steadily built a big lead. Jack Miller crashed out to the disappointment of home fans, and Pedro Acosta, Alex Marquez, and others battled behind.
In the closing laps, Di Giannantonio passed Marquez for second, while Bezzecchi fought hard to take third place on the podium. Fernandez stayed calm and crossed the finish line 1.6 seconds ahead, sealing a dominant first win.
Behind them, Marquez finished fourth, Acosta fifth, and Luca Marini sixth. The rest of the top 10 were Alex Rins, Brad Binder, Enea Bastianini, and Pol Espargaro.
Next, the MotoGP season heads to Sepang, where Marquez will aim to secure second in the championship, and Bezzecchi will battle Francesco Bagnaia for third place.
