The starting line-ups for the FIM Speedway of Nations – SON2 event in Torun on Friday, October 3 have been revealed.
Eight top under-21 teams will compete in the FIM Team Speedway Under-21 World Championship, with the highest scoring team across 28 heats crowned SON2 champion for 2025.
Hosts Poland aim for their 18th under-21 gold and 12th consecutive win, facing strong competition from Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Latvia, and Sweden.
Each team selects two starters and a substitute rider who can join at any time.
Poland’s team is led by 2024 FIM Under-21 world champion Wiktor Przyjemski, paired with 2023 SGP2 runner-up Damian Ratajczak, and home-track rider Antoni Kawczynski as No.3.
Denmark fields Mikkel Andersen, bronze medallist in SGP2, alongside in-form Torun rider Bastian Pedersen, with Villads Nagel at No.3 under manager Hans Andersen.
Sweden’s team includes Casper Henriksson in his final under-21 event, 2023 SGP3 champion Rasmus Karlsson, and Erik Persson at No.3.
Great Britain is led by 2025 SGP2 rider Dan Thompson, partnered with Luke Harrison, and Luke Killeen at No.3.
Germany’s team features Norick Blodorn, Jonny Wynant, and Mario Hausl at No.3, while Australia fields Mitchell McDiarmid, Tate Zischke, and James Pearson.
Czech Republic is represented by Adam Bubba Bednar, Jan Jenicek, and Jaroslav Vanicek, with Latvia led by Nikita Kaulins, Artjoms Juhno, and Damirs Filimonovs.
SON2 is the third night of FIM Speedway of Nations week in Torun, following the Semi-Finals on September 30 and October 1, with the top three from each Semi-Final joining hosts Poland in the Final on October 4.
