Alpine driver Pierre Gasly believes the upcoming Canadian Grand Prix will turn into a chaotic war of attrition if forecasted rain hits the circuit.
The French racer predicted that wet weather conditions on the challenging Montreal track will trigger high retirement rates, creating an unpredictable “elimination game.”
Starting from the midfield, Gasly emphasized that avoiding costly driving errors and staying on the track will be far more critical than outright car performance.
The driver noted that tire management strategies and rapid pit-stop execution will ultimately dictate who survives the tricky track conditions to score points.
Despite the high risks involved, Gasly welcomed the chaotic forecast, viewing the potential rain as a prime opportunity for Alpine to capitalize on other teams’ mistakes.
