Spanish motorcycle parts maker Puig has become part of the FIM Quality Product (FQP) programme with its range of engine protection covers, earning an internationally recognised quality seal.
The FQP label is awarded only after a detailed evaluation by the FIM International Technical Commission (CTI), and it will apply to 28 different Puig engine covers.
Founded in 1964 near Barcelona, Puig started with fairings and has grown into a global leader in motorcycle accessory parts with distribution in 64 countries and warehouses in the USA and Germany.
Over the years, Puig’s advanced manufacturing techniques and products have been used by riders in world championship racing, contributing to success on track.
Puig Chief Executive Juan Puig said joining the FQP programme highlights the company’s commitment to safety, quality and technical excellence in accessories.
FIM Marketing Director Fabio Muner welcomed Puig, noting the company’s long history of innovation and excellence makes its engine covers deserving of FQP approval and opens up joint marketing opportunities.
