On 19 February, the second Conference on Motorcycle Sport Communication in Europe was held at Hotel Mediterraneo in Riccione, Italy, promoting collaboration and development in motorcycle sport communication.
The event highlighted the growing importance of structured and forward-looking communication across Europe.
Twenty participants, including press officers, journalists, media specialists, and content creators, attended to strengthen cooperation between institutions and communication professionals.
Giovanni Copioli, FMI President; Alessandro Sambuco, FIM Europe CEO; and Giorgia Santini, FMI Secretary General, opened the day, emphasizing the strategic value of dialogue and shared expertise in a rapidly changing media landscape.
Sessions covered European and national institutional frameworks, with Sambuco and Santini explaining governance systems and organisational structures affecting communication.
A workshop led by Leonardo Balossini, FMI Consultant, guided participants in creating AI-based tools to enhance daily communication workflows responsibly and effectively.
In the afternoon, Alessio Santoriello, Senior Lawyer and Legal Tech expert, discussed the legal aspects of AI in journalism, including regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and professional responsibilities.
The day concluded with a roundtable led by communication managers from FIM, FIM Europe, and FMI, discussing the transformative impact of AI on motorcycle sport communication and sharing best practices in the digital era.
FIM Europe CEO Alessandro Sambuco noted the mix of returning and new participants, highlighting the commitment to improving communication between European motorcycling institutions and professionals.
FMI President Giovanni Copioli described the event as a key opportunity to exchange views, explore AI applications, and strengthen networks for the growth of motorcycling communication.
