Hadjar Crashes Red Bull Car

Red Bull junior driver Isack Hadjar crashed Red Bull’s new Formula 1 car during the secret 2026 regulation test at the Barcelona circuit.

The incident happened in wet and tricky conditions, when Hadjar lost control at the final corner and slid into the barriers.

Although the crash caused visible damage to the car, Hadjar was unharmed and walked away without injury.

However, the accident brought an early end to Red Bull’s running for the day and created uncertainty for the team, as testing mileage is very limited and spare parts are not easily available at this early stage.

The test session itself was held behind closed doors and affected by poor weather, which meant only Ferrari and Red Bull ran on track while most other teams stayed in the garage.

For Red Bull, the crash reduced valuable track time needed to understand the new 2026 car concept and regulations.

Team officials described the incident as unfortunate, stressing that the goal of the test was system checks and learning rather than pushing for performance.

Still, the crash may influence whether Red Bull chooses to use its remaining test days, as the team needs to carefully manage its limited resources ahead of the new F1 era.
