Max Verstappen’s long‑time race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase could be leaving Red Bull ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season. Lambiase has been a key part of Red Bull’s success with Verstappen, but now talks are reportedly happening with rival teams such as Williams and Aston Martin for potential new roles next year.
The Italian‑British engineer, who sometimes missed races in 2025, is said to be exploring options that might involve less travel or a senior position. Williams is interested in bringing him on board as part of their push up the grid, while Aston Martin has also discussed a possible management role for him.
