Porsche Explains Daytona Slump

Porsche has explained why its No. 6 car fell back late in the 2026 Rolex 24 at Daytona endurance race. The team said that after running strongly for most of the event, they faced technical issues and handling difficulties toward the end, which caused the car to lose pace and drop positions.

Porsche confirmed that the problem wasn’t due to major mechanical failure but rather performance setbacks that affected speed and balance, especially in traffic and during the final hours of the race. The team is now analysing data so they can improve reliability and performance for future long races.

Overall, Porsche remains positive about its pace and potential but says it must address the late-race issues to compete consistently at the front in endurance events.
