Red Bull Sees Aero Risk

Red Bull’s engine chief Ben Hodgkinson says that while the new 2026 Formula 1 power units are similar and likely to be competitive, the bigger risk this year comes from aerodynamics, not the engines.

He believes that because the entire car has been redesigned under new rules, differences in aerodynamic performance could have a bigger impact on results than the engines themselves, even though Red Bull’s engine team brings strong experience to the new power unit project.
