Toprak Might Miss Podium

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, the Turkish rider now racing in MotoGP with Prima Pramac Yamaha, has said he may not achieve his first podium in the 2026 season because this year is likely to be a big learning challenge for him as he adapts to the new class and bike.

Although he’s a highly successful three-time World Superbike champion, riding the MotoGP Yamaha V4 M1 is a significant step up from his Superbike machine, and he needs time to understand the bike and tracks.

Razgatlıoğlu says 2026 could be a learning year and believes that 2027, after rule changes and more experience, might be the season when he can fight for podiums.

He has already tested the MotoGP bike and is positive about its performance, especially the acceleration and straight-line speed, but acknowledges he still needs time to adapt to the tyres and overall handling.
