Ford: Red Bull F1 Engine On Track

Ford has given an update on the new engine it is developing with Red Bull for the 2026 Formula 1 season.

According to Ford Motorsport director Mark Rushbrook, the project is progressing on schedule and meeting internal targets as the team prepares for its first on‑track test.

This engine will be used by Red Bull — marking the first time the team produces its own power unit, supported technically by Ford.

Rushbrook said the team is where it needs to be so far, though the final confirmation will come when the engine is tested on the car. The update offers a positive boost for Max Verstappen and Red Bull as they head into the new era of F1 power units.
