2025 FIM Secretaries Meeting

The 2025 FIM Secretaries General Meeting was held on 15–16 September at Merton College, Oxford, UK, hosted by the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU). The two-day event brought together representatives from over 20 national federations to discuss key issues in motorcycling, strengthen international collaboration, and plan for the sport’s future.

Topics covered included: aligning licence systems for safer international competition, tackling unsanctioned events, engaging governments, increasing volunteer participation, growing rider involvement, and protecting the environment. Research and discussions also focused on how motorcycling can evolve and thrive in the coming years.

Representatives from the FIM, SMC, Lockton Insurance, and six Continental Unions attended, highlighting the global commitment to developing motorcycle sport.

FIM CEO Françoise Emery praised the collaboration, saying it will inspire new initiatives to support the sport worldwide. ACU CEO Matthew Edwards-Wear added that hosting the event strengthened knowledge sharing and promoted a safe, sustainable, and exciting future for motorcycling in the UK and beyond.
