Komatsu Defends Rookie Crash

Haas boss Ayao Komatsu has warned against making harsh judgments following the collision between Oliver Bearman and Franco Colapinto.

The two young drivers made contact during a recent race, leading to criticism regarding their lack of experience.

Komatsu emphasized that mistakes are a natural part of the learning process for rookies entering the high-pressure world of Formula 1.

He argued that “knee-jerk reactions” are unhelpful and that both drivers have already shown incredible potential and speed.

The Haas team principal believes it is important to look at the bigger picture rather than focusing on a single racing incident.

Both Bearman and Colapinto are seen as the future of the sport, and Komatsu insists they need space to develop their race craft.

He concluded by stating that the team remains fully supportive of Bearman as he continues his transition into a full-time seat.
