Jorge Martin delivered a strong performance to win the MotoGP Sprint race at the United States GP in Texas, overtaking early leader Francesco Bagnaia on the final lap.
This was Martin’s first sprint victory with Aprilia and his first since 2024, as he crossed the finish line about 0.7 seconds ahead.
Bagnaia finished second, while Pedro Acosta originally placed third but was penalized for a tyre pressure issue, promoting Enea Bastianini to the podium.

The race also saw several crashes, including Marc Marquez colliding with Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi sliding out after running ahead.
In celebration after his win, Martin attempted a wheelie on the cooldown lap and crashed but was unhurt.
This result moved Martin to the top of the championship standings by a slim margin.
