No Qualifying Changes Yet

Formula 1 team principals recently held a meeting to review the early races of the 2026 season, especially focusing on the new regulations.

Although there have been complaints about the current qualifying format, no immediate decisions or changes were made during the meeting.

One major concern is the need for drivers to use the “lift and coast” technique even during fast laps, which reduces performance at the most important moments.

Teams agreed that qualifying needs attention and could be improved, but they want to avoid rushing into changes that might create new problems.

For now, Formula 1 will continue to monitor the situation, and any possible adjustments will be discussed carefully in the future.
