Puig Engine Covers Earn FQP

Spanish motorcycle parts maker Puig has joined the FIM Quality Product (FQP) programme with its engine covers, earning an internationally recognised seal of approval.

Founded in 1964 by brothers Josep and Jaume Puig in Granollers, near Barcelona, the company began with motorcycle fairings and has grown into a global leader with warehouses in the USA and Germany and exports to 64 countries.

Puig’s success stems from early adoption of advanced manufacturing techniques like blow-moulding and thermoforming, helping riders such as James Toseland and Marc Márquez win world titles using its products.

In addition to windshields and fairings, Puig produces innovative products that protect motorcycles while improving performance.

The FQP label was granted after a rigorous assessment by the FIM International Technical Commission, covering 28 of Puig’s engine covers.

CEO Juan Puig stated that being part of the FQP programme highlights Puig’s commitment to safety, quality, and technical excellence.

FIM Marketing Director Fabio Muner welcomed Puig, noting that the company’s innovative history makes its engine covers fully deserving of the FQP seal, benefiting both parties with new marketing opportunities.
