Lewis Hamilton has criticized the current generation of Formula 1 cars that use ground effect aerodynamics, saying there is “not a single thing I’ll miss” about them.
He finds these cars difficult to drive and they don’t suit his style, especially in handling and downforce after braking.
Since the introduction of ground-effect rules in 2022, Hamilton has only managed two wins with these cars.
He hopes the upcoming 2026 regulations, which will change chassis and power units and reduce reliance on ground effect, will make the cars more competitive and enjoyable to drive.
