The FIM has approved new helmets under the FRHPhe-02 standard, including ARAI and JUST1 off-road models and the BELL circuit racing helmet. These helmets meet the ECE 22-06 certification and have passed all tests of the FRHPhe-02, which will be mandatory for 2026 FIM championships.
The ARAI MX-V FIM RACING#2 is available in sizes XS–XL, JUST1 J18 in M size, and BELL PRO STAR ECE in M size for circuit racing. FIM homologation is confirmed by the label on the chin strap.
The FRHPhe-02 standard, developed in 2022, improves head protection beyond previous standards (ECE 22.06, Snell M2020, JIS T8133, and FRHPhe-01) with enhanced testing, including oblique and hemispherical impact tests, quick-removal cheek pad tests, and a Skull Fracture Criterion.
