The final MotoE season concluded with an exciting showdown at the Portuguese GP in Portimão, where Alessandro Zaccone of Aruba Cloud MotoE Team claimed the 2025 MotoE World Championship.
In Race 1, Zaccone, starting from pole, converted it into a hard-fought victory ahead of Eric Granado and Jacopo Hosciuc, giving him a 17-point lead going into the second race.
In Race 2, Zaccone secured the championship by finishing fourth, while Oscar Gutierrez narrowly won the race ahead of Mattia Casadei. Nicholas Spinelli completed the podium, with penalties and crashes affecting other contenders like Matteo Ferrari and Eric Granado.
Zaccone’s journey began in Italian national competitions, moving through Supersport and Moto2 European Championship, before entering MotoE in 2020. After years of podiums, wins, and setbacks due to injuries, his consistent performance in 2025—with two wins, multiple podiums, and regular top-five finishes—earned him the championship, marking a triumphant end to the MotoE season.
