For the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, Ferrari has focused on pushing its car’s energy recovery system to the limit to improve performance on the demanding track.
Suzuka is a different kind of circuit compared to the first two races, and it presents challenges for recharging the car’s energy systems due to its layout and cooler conditions.
At Ferrari’s factory in Maranello, engineers have been working hard to get the most out of their SF‑26 car’s power and energy distribution based on data from earlier races.
While Ferrari may not match rival cars on straight‑line speed, it hopes to maximise energy harvest in slower sections and transitions to improve lap performance.
The team is also refining aerodynamics, including testing a special wing design that could return at Suzuka to help with balance and speed.
