Takamoto Katsuta, the World Rally Championship winner from Japan, publicly supported his good friend Kalle Rovanpera after the Finn paused his single‑seater racing plans because of health problems.
Rovanpera and his team confirmed that he won’t race in this year’s Super Formula series due to a medical condition that affects his balance and vision.
Katsuta took to social media to push back against negative rumors, saying the issue isn’t about strength or skill but a long‑standing illness that has worsened.
He praised Rovanpera’s dedication and respect for racing, and said he believes Rovanpera will fully recover and come back stronger.
