The FIM has announced that Marin, a world-leading subsea excavation and recovery company, will sponsor the 2026 FIM Sidecar World Championship.
Marin CEO George Stroud, a lifelong Sidecar racing enthusiast, has grown the Scottish-based business into a global subsea service provider for oil, gas, and renewables, specialising in excavation, deepwater troubleshooting, and drilling support.
Stroud emphasized that many Sidecar teams struggle to secure funding, and Marin aims to provide practical and cost-effective sponsorship support to help teams continue racing and keep the grids full.
FIM Marketing Director Fabio Muner praised Stroud for his commitment and investment, noting that his support will benefit everyone involved in this specialised and demanding sport.
FIM Circuit Racing Commission Director Paul King added that Marin’s backing ensures exciting racing and a strong Sidecar championship in 2026 and beyond.
