Rovanperä’s F3 Debut Review

WRC champion Kalle Rovanperä made his single‑seater debut in Formula 3, and while it wasn’t a headline‑grabbing performance, it was a solid and promising start. Transitioning from rallying to circuit racing and open‑wheel cars is a big challenge, but Rovanperä adapted well considering the very different car and racing format.

He showed good pace and racecraft throughout the event, learning quickly and avoiding major mistakes — an important part of gaining experience in a highly competitive field. Although he didn’t finish on the podium, his debut was seen as a successful first step, demonstrating potential for future development if he continues to pursue single‑seater racing.

Overall, Rovanperä’s first race in F3 provided valuable learning, and his performance impressed observers given his rallying background and the steep learning curve involved.
