Bezzecchi, Fernandez Shine in Valencia

Aprilia ended the 2025 MotoGP season on a high as Marco Bezzecchi took a lights-to-flag victory in Valencia, with Raul Fernandez claiming P2 to secure a historic 1-2 finish for the team. Fabio Di Giannantonio battled past Pedro Acosta to take P3, keeping Ducati’s podium streak alive.

The race began with Franco Morbidelli crashing on the grid, suffering a left-hand fracture and missing the Valencia Test. Bezzecchi grabbed the holeshot, while a Turn 4 collision between Johann Zarco and Francesco Bagnaia ended Bagnaia’s season and earned Zarco a Long Lap Penalty.

Fernandez steadily closed in on Bezzecchi, setting fastest laps and overtaking Alex Marquez for second. In the fight for P3, Di Giannantonio eventually passed Acosta after a tense battle. Bezzecchi managed to maintain a slim lead over Fernandez, while Di Giannantonio held off Acosta at the finish.

Other notable results: Fermin Aldeguer finished P5, Alex Marquez P6, Luca Marini P7, Brad Binder P8, Jack Miller P9, and Enea Bastianini P10. Miguel Oliveira ended his MotoGP career in P11.

In Moto2, Diogo Moreira made history as Brazil’s first Grand Prix World Champion, securing the 2025 title in the final round with a P10 finish, overtaking Manuel Gonzalez. Izan Guevara claimed his first Moto2 victory, followed by Daniel Holgado and Ivan Ortola.

In Moto3, Adrian Fernandez won his maiden Grand Prix in Valencia, holding off rivals Alvaro Carpe and Taiyo Furusato. Fernandez led for most of the 20-lap race, turning his pole position into a victory. Carpe inherited P2 after Furusato exceeded track limits, while Guido Pini and Maximo Quiles rounded out the top five.
