Yamaha Gets Strict with Quartararo

Yamaha has taken a tougher approach toward rider Fabio Quartararo as the team enters a new phase under its updated management.

The company no longer plans to focus its entire MotoGP project around him but instead aims to build a stronger overall team and long-term strategy.

Quartararo, the 2021 world champion, has struggled to return to winning form since 2022 and has openly criticized the bike’s performance.

He wants a machine capable of consistent podium finishes, but Yamaha’s current development pace has frustrated him.

Team officials reportedly view some of his recent actions, such as appearing in the paddock without official team gear, as signs of growing tension.

Yamaha now expects greater unity and discipline from all riders and staff as it works to rebuild its competitiveness in MotoGP.
