Penske on Sebring Team Orders

Team Penske boss Jonathan Diuguid explained what happened after the 12 Hours of Sebring where Porsche Penske Motorsport finished first and second — but a late position swap caused tension between teammates Kevin Estre and Felipe Nasr.

About an hour before the end, the team told Estre’s car (#6) to get ahead of Nasr’s (#7) because they were defending their lead against a Cadillac.

But Nasr then passed Estre back on track and went on to win, which Estre said ignored team instructions.

Diuguid said the team needs to review how team orders were communicated and will talk with both drivers to sort out any hard feelings before the next race.
