Parnitskyi makes history

Ukrainian rider Nazar Parnitskyi is set to make a historic debut in the 2026 Speedway Grand Prix.

He becomes the first-ever full-time rider from Ukraine to compete in the FIM Speedway Grand Prix after being promoted into the main lineup. Initially selected as a substitute, he secured a place among the top 15 riders following the withdrawal of three-time world champion Tai Woffinden due to injury recovery.

Parnitskyi has quickly risen in the sport, winning the Under-21 world title and previously finishing as a runner-up in the SGP2 championship. His achievements mark one of Ukraine’s biggest successes in speedway racing in decades.

He is expected to begin his Grand Prix journey in Germany, shortly after representing Ukraine in the Speedway World Cup semi-final. His entry is seen as an inspiring moment for Ukrainian motorsport, especially during ongoing challenges faced by the country.
