Wolff Backs 2026 Rules

After the Chinese Grand Prix, Max Verstappen once again criticised the new 2026 Formula 1 rules, calling the racing boring and comparing it to a video game, and saying fans who enjoy it “don’t understand racing.”

Toto Wolff responded by saying Verstappen’s complaints are partly because his Red Bull car has been very difficult to drive — describing it as a “horror show” — and that on-track action overall has been exciting, with good battles between other teams.

Wolff also admitted some aspects of the new regs (like energy-saving phases) are tough but thinks many fans and competitors are enjoying the 2026 era.
