Australian rider Daniel Sanders is the favorite for Dakar 2026 after dominating the 2025 race. KTM teammates Luciano Benavides and young Spanish talent Edgar Canet are also strong contenders.
Honda brings experienced challengers, including Tosha Schareina, Ricky Brabec, Adrien Van Beveren, and Skyler Howes. Hero MotoSport and Sherco Rally Factory aim for podium finishes as well.
In the “Original by Motul” category, 21 riders will compete without support crews, managing all repairs themselves. Last year, Emanuel Gyenes narrowly beat Benjamin Melot in this challenging class, and top riders will again battle for the title.
