The SBK Commission has approved a new standard race weekend schedule for WorldSBK events starting in 2026, aimed at making race days clearer, more structured and more exciting for fans at the circuit and watching around the world.
From 2026, most race weekends will follow a consistent running order on both Saturday and Sunday. Races will progress from WorldWCR, to the new World Sportbike (WorldSPB) class, then WorldSSP, with WorldSBK always running last as the main event of the day. This format highlights the championship hierarchy while delivering a strong build-up of action throughout the day.
The popular WorldSBK Tissot Superpole Race will keep its traditional late-morning slot on Sunday, maintaining one of the most exciting and recognisable moments of the weekend before Race 2.
The revised schedule was created in consultation with key stakeholders and is designed to improve the overall flow of the race weekend. By ending both race days with the WorldSBK race and podium celebrations in the paddock, fans can enjoy a clear and dramatic climax to each day’s action.
While this will be the standard format from 2026, adjustments may still be made at certain rounds to meet local conditions or broadcasting needs.
