Helmut Marko — senior adviser at Red Bull Racing — has publicly apologised after suggesting that Kimi Antonelli deliberately allowed Lando Norris to pass during the 2025 Qatar Grand Prix.
Initial comments from Red Bull wrongfully accused Antonelli of “waving Norris by,” which triggered a flood of online abuse — including threats — directed at the 19‑year‑old driver.
After reviewing race footage, Marko admitted the overtake resulted from a driving error, not intent, and expressed regret over the backlash Antonelli suffered.
