Toyota is giving its GR010 Hybrid Le Mans hypercar a major overhaul ahead of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season, and early testing has left the team cautiously optimistic about its chances.
The updates include a redesigned front end, revised bodywork and aerodynamics to improve airflow and speed, plus a reworked rear‑wing setup in line with current styling trends.
The changes are not only cosmetic — Toyota engineers expect better drivability, more efficient performance under the 2026 regulations, and improved balance of power and handling.
Toyota has already begun testing the upgraded car (sometimes referred to as “Evo 2026”) and is hopeful it will help the team return to winning form in the WEC next year.
