Europe Promotes Safer Riding

The European campaign ‘Learn – Ride – Enjoy – Repeat’, led by ACEM and FIM, concluded on 5th November at the EICMA Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan, Italy. The initiative encouraged riders of all levels to take part in high-quality, voluntary motorcycle training.

Participants experienced demonstration rides and advanced exercises, including slaloms, wide turns, and controlled acceleration and braking, guided by certified trainers from the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI). A highlight was riding with two-time FIM WorldSBK Champion James Toseland, giving riders a hands-on experience of advanced techniques.

Launched in April, the campaign reached thousands of riders across 23 countries through digital media and partnerships. It also introduced the Instructor Guidelines for Voluntary Motorcycle Training, developed with EMTQL-certified schools, focusing on accident prevention and raising post-license training standards. Over 40 schools have already received the guidelines for free.

ACEM, FIM, and FMI emphasized the campaign’s role in promoting safer riding, continuous learning, and sustainable mobility while keeping motorcycling enjoyable. Toseland noted that continuous training improves riders’ skills, safety, and confidence.
