Marco Andretti, a third‑generation racing driver, has announced his retirement from competitive motorsport.
Since his debut in 2006, he competed in 253 IndyCar races, won two of them, earned six pole positions, and made 20 consecutive starts in the Indianapolis 500 between 2006 and 2025.
In his retirement statement, Andretti expressed pride in his achievements, including surpassing his father in Indy 500 podium finishes, and thanked his family, teams, sponsors, and fans for their support over three decades.
He also plans to spend more time with his daughter and explore other business ventures.
