The FIM has announced with sadness the passing of John Chatterton-Ross, a dedicated public affairs professional who greatly contributed to motorcycle sport and road safety.
Born in Britain, John served on the FIM Public Affairs Commission from 1991 to 2002 and on various road safety panels. He later became Vice President (2003–2010) and then FIM Director of Public Affairs (until 2020). His work earned him Honorary Membership in both FIM and FIM Europe.
John also worked closely with the Safer Roads Foundation in recent years, promoting rider protection and road safety for motorcycles, scooters, and mopeds.
FIM expressed deepest condolences to his family and friends, noting that he will be greatly missed by the entire FIM community.
